Just got my mad scientist today, definately the baddest Pipe I have ever bought. I took the advice and got the pre-cooler it really makes the pipe look effin dope. For the money I would recommend this pipe to anyone.

well this arrived the other day and what can i say, alot smaller than i thought but fuck does this thing pack a punch, easily the best bong ive ever smoked, down under here in oz we smoke the plastic bongs, ive used both bamboo ones, ceramic, other glassies, this is by far no match

Wow a horrible day. my dealer once again cant get me weed so i tried smoking shitty stems for my first try with this bong. Luckly i had a box with my roaches and manages to get a half decent bowl. I just got mine + the hurricane pre-cooler (which is so effing sweet on the mad scientist), and managed to open the box/toke tonight. All I can say is, Wow. I packed it with low-end headies, and my face was melted.this thing delivers the smoothest, let me emphasize, SMOOTHEST, as well as the most all-around awesome hits I have ever toked in my lifetime. If you really want to enjoy your buds, I have to say, it costed me 117 bucks for the all-inclusive package (bong, pre-cooler, shipping is free) and it is MOST definitely worth it and should be in any routine smoker's arsenal, so to speak.
One thing I will say though is, definitely treat this thing like you would a small baby. While I don't think molino is flimsy at all, the fact that it's all glass-on-glass seems to allow for easier breakage of the downtubes and sliders; but that's just a guess. Be VERY fragile with the percolater and i suggest bending it's hook thing to allow for you to remove the hook once you place it inside the bong.

This is the only device I've used since I got it. I have the clear pre-cooler attachment, which makes it a triple chamber, and the smoothest hit me and my friends have ever had, hands-down. All clear Molino Glass is the way to go, and I highly recommend getting the clear Molino pre-cooler with it. This is everything you expect and more. I've mentioned this bong in my music I love it so much.

this bong is the shit. dont even order if you dont get a precooler, it takes it to a new fucking level. Smoke is filtered 3 times and diffused AND you can get ice in there on top of the blue hook on the percolator, so the rips on this thing are FUCKING INSANE. smoothest hits ive ever had, for only 140 bills (bong + precooler) i would choose this over 100% of the bongs on this website. This bong is not what you want if you want to be able to rip hits but for one of the cleanest and smoothest smokes it works great. The percolator and shallowness of the first chamber are the only flaws as after every couple bowls you have to take the percolator out and get the crap that builds up in the tiny holes out. Definitely a house bong though! The main thing to remember with the Mad Scientist is slow and steady when hitting it even after you pull the bowl out cause the percolator takes a little time to get all of the smoke through it. Great bong though, completely different from any Roor I have ever hit.

Officially my favoret-est bong ever.
Got it a month and a half ago, and the second day after i got it, i went to clean the bowl, and the down stem to my hurricane precooler broke!
Be very very careful with it.
Pros:
Beautiful piece, hits smooth. with style. incredible genius. great for everything. (not just afghani or blueberry ^.^)
Cons:
Fragile, the percolator collects the most resin fastest, and leads to the clogation of the stupidly small holes.
hard to clean the downstem/bowls.
if you have any doubts about this bong, dismiss them. be very careful handling it.
and a co-purchase of a precooler is 100% necessary if you also buy thing piece.

Even though this bong is only a foot tall, it is the best smoke for the price. Get the precooler and it bubbles 3 times.
Hit is VERY smooth. Just don't let the percolator's holes clog as it makes it harder to hit, but it rarely clogs so no worries.
I would recommend this piece to anyone on a budget. If you're not, snag a pH(x).

This is a very great piece. With the percolator in which creates another chamber you get extremely smooth hits and I bought a precooler also which added to the smoothness. Althought it is difficult to clean if you don't have a good cleaning product and the glass on the bottom is kind of thin but you just have to be more careful with it. Overall it was a great deal and grasscity threw in a free T-Shirt which was an awesome surprise!

Just got the bong yesterday. It is great. I live in Miami, FL and it only took 7 business days to get here, considering it came from Amsterdam that is the fastest free shipping i have ever seen. The bong came with a free t-shirt (size: small, so i gave it to my girlfriend, and a pack of screens). I highly suggest this bong, because for the price there is no way you will find something that smokes smoother (except maybe asking head shops if they have anything that got damaged during shipping). However the percolator holes do get clogged with resin in about ten bowls and they're a nasty bitch to clean. But the bong is still amazing, and it is worth it to get the precooler, besides the fact that it 'precools' I would also think it helps to keep the percolator from clogging faster. It also needs a decent amount of water, so don't be afraid to be generous. The glass-on-glass is flawless, the bong water never spits into your mouth and if smoked with ice the bong hits like a dream. Also when first using the precooler bowl i used a screen but after about three I realized that the hole at the bottom of the bowl was small enough that I didnt need one. That was nice too, because screens are a pain in the ass.

My FAVE. I got this little baby last summer. Had some problems with customs in Amsterdam, so there was a delay in GC shipping it to me. They're so cool though, they threw in the Molino Pre Cooler for the wait. I was like "sweet!"
I did a little customization to mine. I ditched the diffuser and put in a Roor. I like the bubble dispersion from the Roor a lot more. The Molino one really only disperses through the top row. I then thought about getting a carbon filter, but this is the problem with that. The bong is VERY front heavy. If you use the pre-cooler, it becomes VERY easy for it tip forward and over. Not very cool. It's this reason that I generally don't let anyone use it, other than myself and my girl. When I added the carbon filter, forget it, a light wind would knock it over. So, I ditched the carbon filter, but the Roor diffuser is a little longer than the stock one, so what I do is add my carbon to the approx. 2" of the diffuser that sticks up from the base of the bong. It really cleans up the inhalation, nice clean hits. I change it out when it seems to need it. The bowl on the pre-cooler is one whole piece. So be careful when lifting it to clear the chamber. I solved this by using another downstem I purchased earlier. Place that in the pre-cooler and now I can either use the short stock bowl from Molino or any others of the same size. Cool. I also use size 14/20 keck clips to keep all the parts together. A 19/22 size one to fit the bong and diffuser.
It does drag a little, but I don't mind it. Taking super hits from this little thing will put you on your ass, so the drag doesn't bother me. Mine drags a little more from the carbon and pre-cooler, and it's still cool. The hits are SMOOOOOOOOOTH. Don't inhale REAL HARD or the perc may pick up. Again, no big deal, just treat her right. Due to the perc and pre-cooler, keep pulling after you remove the bowl until it is all clear.
Speaking of the perc, the holes are very small. They don't clog as much as people would have you believe. I use one of those toothpicks with the brush to clean them out.
All in all, my favorite tool. It is fairly fragile, so if you are clumsy, forget it. However, treat her nice and you won't be disappointed.

Quick shipping from Grasscity :) Came to the US in 7 business days. I ordered this water pipe, the clear ash catcher, and also the Hurricane ash catcher. Everything was shipped properly to avoid breakage. I also received 10 screens and a T-shirt for free.
First off... The Bong is really nice. But the removable percolator SUCKS! It is VERY fragile... I don't know if it was just mine or if all of them are like that but the 4 holes on mine are microscopic in size which pretty much makes it unusable since the drag on that thing alone is enough to kill you. I have mine still sitting in the box, unused. It will remain unused until I can enlarge the holes on it with a diamond drill bit. But it seems so thin that it might break on me, which in that case wouldn't be that much of a loss.
I use the bong with an ash catcher and instead of putting in the dome percolator, I just throw some ice down there. It works really nice.
The glass is nice and thick on the top half, but the bottom seems to be a little thin and fragile. I doubt the base is 5mm. My guess would be 2-3mm. So you just have to be careful.
The diffuser is quality glass... but its a little short, so you have to fill the bottom up with more water than you should. Which results in getting splashed with water when clearing it, when dome peculator isn't being used. But the ICE takes care of that and blocks the splashes.
The clear ash catcher is cool, but the bowl gets a little hot after some use and you have to let it cool down. Bowl on it is a little small.
The Hurricane ash catcher is incredible. Mine looks even sweeter than the picture on the website. It has 4 colors... A metallic blue, dark blue, orange, and color changing... It is swirled and it looks fucking awesome. And feels very sturdy. Oh yea, the bowl size on it is def PARTY bowl size... Its HUGE! Which is very nice when you have groups.
So all in all a good purchase. It could be better. But for the price... its a nice piece. Keep it clean and treat her right and she will rip for years to come.
For my next bong... I prolly wont buy another Molino. Since I already have this one, I am going to try some different manufacturers. I'm thinking a Lux (for the quality)... Weed-Star (for the price)... or a quality GonG Hand blown colorful masterpiece. Stay high :)

I had just received my mad scientist the othe day, and I have to say that I couldn't be happier with my purchase! Everything came as advertised and as expected. Shipping ti US took less that 7 days. It is by far the smoothest thing that I have ever hit. If dont correctly you should use a little over a bottle of water each time you fill your mad scientist up. (all 3 parts included in that estimate). The only thing that is a little annoying is that the four holes in the perculator often clog, which forces you to pull very hard and/or remove the perculator and clean them. In the big picture, no big deal! The price by far makes up for any inconveinence in cleaning. I highly recommend this product to anyone interested. 10 out of 10!!!! GREAT PRODUCT!!

sadly i broke the whole thing in the course of 2 weeks..
first i broke the pre-cooler by not watching carefully.. it hit the edge of my desk and shattered.
second i broke the perc... dropped it taking it out to clean..
third.. i broke the main fucking piece.. shattered.
wish the bottom was a little thicker or it wouldn't have broken.
long story short, the molino mad scientist is a work of art... order one now, but be careful with it. sigh.

OK. i've had The Mad One now for going on two weeks. Yes, it is all they say. face melting rips. and FUN to do. i didn't leave my house for 5 days after it arrived ... called in sick, the whole thing. i was too immersed in my newfound laboratory with The Doc. I still can't get over how much I'm enjoying just about every aspect of this thing.
pros: amazing smoking device, smoothest i've ever experienced. really gets the most out of your stuff. sexy. sturdy.
cons: i've cleaned it three times already, and it takes some time. yes, it's percolator is fragile as all get out; and, it does clog pretty frequently.
+ Grasscity got it to me (west coast U.S.) in 8 biz days, how awesome is that?

pros and cons are all true. one of the best looking pieces i have seen yet. not as small or thin as i thought and the rips are smooth. get clear precooler. hits are smooth but take a long time and you have to draw pretty hard. diffuser is too short so it needs alot of water in bottom of bong. percolator is awesome to the max. i didnt have a problem with the four lil holes getting clogged, but the main hole in the percolator gets clogged pretty easy on mine. simple fix, just run under very hot water and it flushes it out. not your piece if you hate cleaning, trust me. got mine today after only 7 biz days in pacific northwest. had to clean after probly six really good bowls. if you aren't lazy, its worth the money and an arm. just smoke really good stuff out of it occasionally, or you can take the percolator out and put ice in its place to stop any splashing. very very good piece. if you like your glass you'll love your mad scientist
